Signed by SED 1st scretary of Prenzlu district and Council Prsient of Prenzlau district.

6.Lenin's 100 issued by commander of the troopsof Odessa military district gen.-colonel Shurupov o 13 Aril 1970 to Bunin as a colonel.

7.Bulgrian Peple's Army 30th anniversary medal - doc - issued in 1974, signed by lt.-gen. Conev, cmdr. of militaryuni 35240. Abitabused doc (bent in half -not seen on the scan) - possibly a fake (filled-in blank doc)

8.50th birthday greeting card from the department of cadres f the MoD. Signed by 3 generals, including Dmitriy Yazov - later MSU. (doc didn't fit the scanner).

1.1982 Diploma congratulating the awarding of the Armed Forces Veteran medal. Ustinov's signatur looks like hand-made, but is probably printed. Hardly visible on the scan, but there's a 3d state seal on the first ageof the document.

11.65 years of victory badge awarded by mayor of Odessa - not sure if real awarding or a filled-in blank

12.1999 Ukranian Order of Cmielnicki 3rd class doc - looks uthentic, but can be a filled-in blank as well.

13. Photo tha camewith the group - can be unrelated. Shows participants of some offiial ceremony/meeting - there are 3HSLs and 3 servicemen. The St. George motif in the back seemsto suggest RSFSR. If Bunin is there, e would be the mjr.gen in the center, the Navy officer seems to be cpt. 1st class, not colonel, which would mean t's ot him.

Unit 35240 was the Department "Cadre" of the Ministry Of National Defence. This unit stamp can be found on a great deal of these (if not all) to foreign service personnel.

But is it normal that it is filled-in with 4(5?) different inks (1 for the awardee' data, one for signature, one for rank and probably another one for the unit number and general's name)?

I have searched for Mykola Bunin (using copy-paste Ukrainian letters, as I don't have Ukrainian keyboard), but found nothing.

His last assignment was apparently in Odessa Military District, so its possible he stayed in the city after retirement, the birth date would also fit.

Also, Nikolaj m. Bunin indeed commanded 30th/74th ind. mot. rifle rgt.:

The regiment was stationed in Neu Timmen, later in Cottbus, Germany.
Bunin was supposed to get his diploma in May 1967 in Germany, which coincides with the time he was a regiment commander.

This example of a document from a split internationalist group that runs 1940's-1990's should pretty well demonstrate the Bulgarian bureaucrats' pen collection. Adam Smith would be proud.

An elegant doc in heavy cover, but probablygiven to the majority of high-ranking officers at that time.

"For active participation in organising and leading themarches in the places of Revolutionary, Military and Labour Glory of the Soviet People"

It was apparently an event organised by Central Committee of the Komsomol of Ukraine, CC of the DOSAAF of Ukraine and Republic's Council of Tourism.
