The crown looks a little grey from the photograph but there was a Suvorov air cadet academy so the light blue cap band is not unrealistic. The grey crown doesn't ring true though, if indeed it is grey.
Many people have taken old, small size Soviet police caps and turned them into Suvorov academy caps as they have white crowns and red cap bands. Surprisingly there are very few black Suvorov academy caps on the market. I do have the black uniform but my quest for the cap is proving pretty difficult. |

yes I got a suvorov vest and pants for 20 euros but no cap. I've got one from a parisian collector dated 1949! the vest is 1985!!

The 1989 Soviet uniform regs show this cap. It is not literally a Suvorov school per se but they had another name - early military flight school or some such thing - I don't have the regs here. Basically same as a Suvorovo school.
The white "linen" top is the exact same as all the genuine red-band Suvurov school caps I have ever seen. Unlike white militia caps which are cotton with dense weave. Nice catch for a hat collector!! Shawn |
