unread letters from 1941

in 2010 Austria gave back those to Ukraine. 1186 letters captured in 1941 in Kamenec-Podolski.

Interesting. I wonder if they'll make any effort to track down the closest relative of the recipient (or sender)?

I took it from the Russian text that that "responsibility" was not being undertaken, but that relatives could inquire. That was the reason for listing all the addresses and locales. As you can imagine it would be a pretty daunting task for a museum with small and underpaid staff to make these linkages.
