Imperial Russian Dagger.
The dagger lloks beautiful, but ... seeing what this dealer has for sale (too many fakes), I am not sure about this one.
Two orders on one dagger - is it possible? Condition of almost 100 years old dagger? Are these orders original, even the dagger was restored and looks original it self? Eric |

There's more Fakes than real of these...
I'd have to hold it to tell you if it's OK. The 2 orders is indeed weird. Rusty.

Eric,
I think it was probably put together with some old and new parts with fake badges. A good indicator is the leather washer - looks completely new and the edge is too rough. Alexei |

Thanks Alexei, Rusty
I had the same feeling. In addition to all indicators you stated, my another reason was also - "staff" this guy sells - 99% fakes. Eric. |

Russian Imperial Dagger
What about this dagger?
Is it authentic? The dagger is probably authentic, but my concern is Nikolay II monogram. Is the Monogram authentic? Eric |

Eric,
I am not an expert in edged weapons, but I would stay away from it. The monogram is indeed crude, but I also don't like the tang button, and the brass piece, holding the grip on the gross guard side. I have seen a similar piece with a blade made of the Mosin-Nagant bayo. Alexei |
