Re: Small collection.

Great start. Get yourself a nice Mosin Nagant to add to it.

I have a nice assortment of Soviet patches if you would like to add to it.

:( I bought a Yugoslavian M70AB2 and I'd be lying if I said I don't have a great time every chance I get to shoot it. You really can't appreciate the simplistic but highly effective design of an Ak until you handle one, disassemble it in twenty seconds, beat the hell out of it, then load a magazine and pull the trigger. It's nowhere near as accurate by design as an Ar-15/M-16/M-4, but the Ak is par excellence when it comes to reliability.

Re: Small collection.

Ah, I wish I could get an Ak, but up here in Canada they are banned!
Unless I can find a "grandfathered" Ak Im outta luck.

Oh...and few more stuff to my collection arrived yesterday. :)

They sent me the wrong damned hat.

I was supposed to get a modern Russian militia visor hat, but they sent me a cheap BROKEN Soviet hat, and I suspect it is a fake...just because of the lining and the make...
It fits nice though, as much as I hate to say it.
And they told me the boots were leather, they arent even pleather.
Its a shame...
I am thoroughly ******* off.

Re: Small collection.

to me the cap looks reproduction because of

1. wrong sweatband material and color
2. the way the top is stuffed
3. the way the lining is attached
4. wrong badge
5. not so sure about this but the sweat diamond looks weird

I'm sorry for you , this kinda thing takes the pleasure out of collecting soviet stuff.

Re: Small collection.

Thanks, but yeah I kinda found out myself its a fake because I compared it to another fake I had kicking around and they had the exact same inside make.
Depressing.
Oh well, it happens.

Now Im in the market for new boots that will keep my feet warm during the coming winter.
Im looking for a pair of Russian army boots designed for the winter, if anybody knows where to find anything like this the help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Re: Small collection.

Oh and I was just wondering, if you would be so kind, what type of hat badge would be correct?
