Here is #183587. Probably awarded in January 1943 (research later!)

The prices of these has been falling quite nicely recently and later examples can be picked up for almost as little as a single digit. Happy days for collectors.

Lieutenant Comrade Solov'ev, V. V. worked as Deputy Head Of Staff for accounts providing timely accounts for the regiment and presentation of all information to the staff. To provide accounts of personnel and arms during the period of offensive actions risked his life to take direct account of combat formations of sub-units.
For taking account of personnel of the regiment is worthy of the governmental award Medal "For Combat Merits".


This is the second award this week I've researched that has been for Stalingrad but has not been overtly mentioned in the citation (the other being early defence). These "offensive actions" was the crushing of the "Kessel".
