The document adorned with a Guards Badge is a gratitude certificate issued June 29th, 1959 by the Commander of Military Unit 21439.
Alexandr Ivanovich Udot, born 1924, awarded an Order of the Red Star, Bravery Medal, and an Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class, 1985 Jubilee Issue. Here is the Prikaz for his Bravery Medal, 1st Belorusian Front. He is #32, listed as a Private, Mine Layer (?), 216th Independent Mine Clearing Unit. |

Here is his Bravery Medal Citation indicating, I think, his defusing 5100 mines and being awarded an Excellent Mine Layer Badge.

Here is his Prikaz for his Order of the Red Star, issued by the 37th "Brandenburg" Field Engineering Red Banner Order of Kutuzov Brigade. He is #18 on the second page, Junior Sergeant, Commander of the 257th Independent Field Engineering Kalinkovichsky Red Banner Battalion.
