Admiral uniform

Hello guys,

I have a chance to buy this uniform including the medals. Who can tell me how old this uniform is and what I max should pay for it?

The medals and orders are: 2 red stars, 1 OPW '85, 1 ORB, Leningrad defence, Caucasus defence, Capture of Koeningsberg medal.

Well, the cap is an officer´s one. I think it is a made-up uniform set; If I were you, would ask for much better pictures than the ones you got.

The uniform is M/69, probably 1970-1980 issue, owned by a well-decorated war veteran who was alive yet at 1988 :)

I have a spare black admirals cap if You would need one :)

Esteban is correct, senior officers ca, not Admirals...as for the tunic, check the back of the buttons, there should be a 2 digit date that will help.

As for price...
It depends upon what all the other medals are and if they are all genuine (For example, if there are sevastopol or odessa's in there somewhere, they would be suspect). The red banner by itself may be good for $500 or more nowadays depending upon the type. Great bullion embroidery on the collar, though. I had a similar one once and still miss it from time to time.

If you buy the tunic, will you also get the name and bio of the owner? Or, is it a later put together set? Tretov is a great source for Cold-War era Admirals caps, so you can make a great set.
