International Red Aid Membership Badge

I don't have this badge, but I think there is an interesting story behind this organization. Acording to a web site (xxx...)

Created by Komintern in 1922, this organization had a purpose of liberating terrorists from jails around the world, and fomenting anti-government activities in foreign countries.

Variation 1 - screwback:

Tal,

I have one of those badges, screwback version with the booklet which I bought from a reputable dealer. My booklet is in better shape. The date in it is 1924. The stamps in it are slightly different, but I think the one you show is good.

A translation of the booklet shows that it is the membership card for the International Organization of Aid to the Revolutionary Fighters. It was issueed by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Bolsheviks of Uzbekistan.

This badge along with nine others of the same Organization are illustrated on pages 59 and 60 of the book I have on Soviet Badges and Jetons.

Tal,

I also believe the badge is perfectly authentic, it's just an unusual pinback variation. You badge has yellow transluscent enamel on the sun, which is very hard to fake.

I just received my first MOPR badge, a screwback with a document. Issued in 1946. Were the stamps issued when certain feats were done?

Danny,

The badge is genuine, and the document is the right type. Those stamps just indicate membership dues paid.
