Awarded to Ivan Grigor'evich Olejnik on 14th February 1944 but only issued on 12th July 1990 - nearly 46 1/2 years later.

Rifleman, 6th Rifle Company Guards Private Olejnik, Ivan Grigor'evich, for that, during the battle for Dav'euovo-Rubtsovo with fire from his hand-held machine gun suppressed an enemy fire point, thereby allowing the advancement of our infantry forward, he was heavily wounded.
Born 1923, Ukrainian, Member VKP/b/, In RKKA from December 1941, In the active army from 2nd April 1942, Called to Kupjansk Regional Military Commissariat, Award and wound not had, Wounded 8th February 1944
