Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
While on 8 March 1945 at 17:00 he was fulfilling the Command’s combat order to clear a bridgehead occupied by the enemy’s 2 Company north of the river Keise and seize an enemy prisoner of war [trans: implied for interrogation. This sentence as written is grammatically incorrect and modified to make sense].
As a member of Comrade Zalagaev’s reconnaissance party (group), Comrade Bulko crawled up to an enemy guard position and with a shout of “Ura!” rushed the position, killing one with his submachinegun fire and taking two prisoner.
Nearby enemy soldiers covering in their trenches scattered in panic [trans: corrected sentence fragment].
Thus, he enabled the unit’s combat success in clearing the bridgehead and personally captured a prisoner on the division’s frontline.
He is deserving of the Order of Glory III Class.
