Re: Medals for Irreproachable Service
These are KGB service medals.
I think, second type (it seems the 1-st degree is not silver made) |

Irreproachable Service Medals
From left to right in the first picture, and right to left in the second picture, these are "Irreproachable Service Medals" for 20 years and 15 years, respectively, but I am having a difficult time identifying the medal on the left in the first picture, and on the right in the second.

Re: Irreproachable Service Medals
It´s an Umalatova medal for 80 years of the soviet armed forces.

Irre
Hello there dear comrades! I recently picked up a "20 years of irreproachable service in the Armed Forces of the USSR" medal. My question for the experts is, is my medal made from solid silver? Silver plated brass, or German silver? I have taken some photos for you to look at.

Re: My 20 Years of Service Armed Forces Medal - Silver?
For me it is a variant 2, silver-plated brass.

Re: My 20 Years of Service Armed Forces Medal - Silver?
I don't see a lot of patina, which the silver gets and the nickle-silver does not. It may be plated, as Marsino says.
The weight of the medallion might help tell the tale, as it were.

Re: My 20 Years of Service Armed Forces Medal - Silver?
So, its probably looking like I have variant 2, the silver plated brass edition. I was beginning to think that when I was holding my 15 and 20 year medals in each hand, they felt similar in weight. And I know the solid silver medal would weigh a little more.

Re: Medal "For Impeccable Service".
Did someone say KGB?
2nd Class to Captain Karlo Ivanovich Pachulija awarded 6th December 1961 (no doubt having already received a Medal "For Combat Merits")

Re: Medals "For Impeccable Service".
From KGB to MVD.
Here is an MVD Document for a 2nd Class awarded on 30th September 1958 by the Ministry Of Internal Affairs Of The Uzbek SSR to Starshina Nikolaj Semenovich Sividov.
