30 Years of the Soviet Army and Navy
Established 18 February 1948. Awarded to all generals; admirals; officers; sergeants; master sergeants; soldiers and marines who were serving on 23 February 1948 in the Soviet Armed Forces, Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), or Ministry of State Security Troops (KGB), as well as to students of military educational institutions of the above. Recipients of the following were automatically awarded: Hero of the Soviet Union; Order of Glory (3 classes); For Courage; Medal of Ushakov; Medal of Nakhimov; For Labor Distinction; For Valiant Labor; For Combat Service, and for Distinguished Service in Guarding the State Border of the USSR. Made of Brass. Approximately 3,711,000 were issued.
