This offering is fora replica of a ConfederateStates of America (CSA) Shelby Officer’s Sword and scabbard (new). It is a terrific companion to the 37” CSANCO Cavalry Swordthat is also for sale in my store. Together they make quite an impressivedisplay of Confederate Civil War swords.

The sword replica offered here is detailed to matchthe design of the swords used by General Jo Shelby’s Cavalry officers. Shelbywas a formidable confederate general who fought most of his battles inMissouri. He distinguishedhimself at the battles of Little Blue River and Westport, and captured manyUnion held towns, including Potosi, Boonville, Waverly, Stockton, Lexington,and California, Missouri.

This handsome sword has the letters “CS” centered inthe brass work on the hand guard and “CSA” is etched into the blade surfacecenter and on the blade tang just below the hand guard brass work. Scrollworkon the blade is detailed and is also typical of the period. Two belt rings onthe scabbard make it perfect for reenactments or a hanging display.
