Confederate Civil War Richmond Depot CS tongue and wreath buckle on belt RARE:
Beyond RARE Civil War Confederate Richmond Depot CS two piece belt plate on original leather belt! This is the cavalry version but the sword hangers are long, long gone--you can still see where they were stitched on. Known for the distinctive "bullet stitching" on leather belts, the Richmond Depot in Virginia crafted these from 1861 until 1864 and very, very few survive. This was once in a very well known Michigan collection and was sold several years ago by Richard Ferry Antiques in Florida. The belt is a little stiff and has an old break (and repair) and the original owner collection tag is still on the back of the buckle.
100% original and RARE Confederate item--100% guaranteed as such FOREVER.
