VERY RARE 1851 Handwritten Deed, Grayson County, State of Texas

DESCRIPTION: I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS.....It is is a very rare original antique land deed document, hand written in ink. Headed "STATE OF TEXAS, COUNTY OF (looks like Fannin, but later refers to Grayson), DATED MAY 2, 1851". Land is stated to be in Grayson County.

A very early state document, just 6 YEARS AFTER TEXAS BECAME A STATE!!.

Has all the details and particulars of the land being conveyed and the cost and the principles, etc. Between John D. Black (seller) and James Strong (buyer). Also has legal endorsements written on the reverse such as being notarized and recorded, etc.

Really nicely done, on early paper, written in old black ink by hand. PROBABLY USING A QUILL PEN!!

2 pages, written on 3 of the 4 sides. Each page measures 8" x 12". VERY SUITABLE FOR FRAMING and would be a great decoration, ESPECIALLY FOR SOMEONE FROM TEXAS. Would be an incomparable early Texas item in a living room, family room, den, office, or man cave, etc.

Very good condition.
