Thisliner has a beautiful glossy black exterior with blue stripe outlined in white(typical for Infantry School) and a nice 1st Sgt. brass insignia on front. The exterior paint and strip are in excellentcondition at about 98%. The First Sargentinsignia is also in excellent condition.
Theinterior has the CAPAC logo and the remnants of the original suspension system thatis undated but the headband is dated 1971.The drawstring is missing from the webbing and the suspension is tornand fragile at the rear where it attaches to the sweatband. The sweatband itself also shows wear.
Nodoubt, the best part of this helmet liner is the exterior and it certainly wouldbe a good restoration project. In any case,it would look great on your shelf until you decided what to do with it! I’ve put a low price on it to justify restoration.
