My dear Colonel,
The Extraordinary Commissioner for
fight against epidemics announces me, that
your stay in Poland, where you filled
the duties of Chief of the American Mission
against typhus - is nearing its end.-
The plans that you have sketched in
autumn 1919 had a full success you
allowing at the same time, to arrive
the execution of your designs, in concert
avic the Polish autories of health
publique.-
It is therefore for me a real pleasure
to express yourself here, how much I appreciate
highly energetic action and so effective.-
In accomplishing this humanitarian task
I see one more proof of interest,
that your noble country bears to Poland, -
I wish you the same success in
the efforts you are going to deploy in Poland
in another quality and I beg you to believe,
my Dear Colonel, has all the consideration
that I attach to your person.-
