This isanice Rothe&Neffe pour le merite. Itis silverand has a fire gilded goldlayer .The cross is in very good condition with only two small chips off the front as seen it the pictures does not distract from it. The cross is made of two havesput togather and eagles added which is correct for the early ones made by Rothe and not makers mark on it .The cross has a set of oaks that came with it they show wearto front from being worn but still in nice condition. The ribbon is a originalWWIribbonwith the correct three rows of silver for the oak leaf plm . The ribbon does not glow under a black light . These are consider to be made in the 1920s and 1930s era.How ever there is a picture ofAdmiral Horthy wearing one during the war. Also worn by FieldMarshal Archduke Joseph .These are just a few who wore this style plm .Emedal\'s sells these for between 7,000 to 9,000 dollars .
