Bought brand new years ago .... never used in shooting or fired ( on rare occasion has been on private display , not public display ( I don\'t like people handling my collection pieces so they are closely guarded ) on a couple occasions then , it has been mounted to rifle but not fired ( indoors of course )
This scope is a pure joy to have in my collection. Since I got it , its spent its life safe and sound in one of my safes with other optics. I have not touched or manipulated any other the adjustments on this scope . So it is as I received it . So its in fantastic original condition
The price reflects the items condition , rarity , and fact that if it does not sell , Im happy to keep bit in my collection ....

FYI ... KERN was bought by Leica and the scope never went into production

FYI ... this scope is a fantastic piece of Swiss workmanship . With most visible parts made from billet by CNC machine ( even the scope body was made from machining a single billet via complex CNC work )
The thing is a real work of art IMHOThe photos are there to show details & condition , so please look closely.FYI.... this is the MOST RARE of the KERN AARAU Optics to the best of my limited knowledge .
I should mention a few more items of interest :
The scope was made for the Swiss 550 / PE 90 series rifles ( 223 / 556 caliber )
The base of the scope is made in NATO STANAG fashion so it will accept any similar mounting method.
Right now ( its May 4th 2019 ) there is only one more of these scopes in the hands of another collector. Of the 5 made I know of only these 2 existing ( of the other 3 made : I was told at least 2 were used / abused in military trials ) .... so there may be yet one more left somewhere ?
