Boat history:
On
July 26, 1944 from the parking code-named "Grand hotel" from the island
of Nuokko in the Finnish shkher there was in the first fighting
campaign the German U-250 submarine. The submarine should work in the
area at a northern entrance to Byerkezund. Reported to the Soviet
command on presence of submarines of the opponent in this area, but any
instructions concerning actions to anti-submarine defense it was not
given. Fight went with variable success here. On July 15 near the island
of Ruonti of U-679 it was attacked by the Soviet patrol as a part of
two torpedo boats and two boats - sea hunters, and could hardly leave,
having sustained injuries, having lost at the same time three people. In
three days of U-479 nearly sent the boat MO-304 to a bottom, the truth
and the submarine later got five days under blow of two sentry boats and
had some damages. MO-304 which lost a nasal part to the cabin managed
to reach a backing base. Damage of boats the Soviet command charged to
mines as nobody assumed that Germans spend an ammunition for the
purposes which are hardly more expensive than torpedoes. In the
afternoon on July 30, 1944 the boat MO-105 stood on an anchor on the
line of a patrol to the north from Byerkezund. At 12:43 in a middle part
of the case of the boat explosion sounded, MO-105 broke in half and
sank. Soon the sentry boat MO-103 approached the accident site.Having
picked up seven survived crew members of the lost boat from water,
MO-103 ran for anti-submarine search, but found nothing and remained on
the line of a patrol. In the evening from one of boats - dymozaveschik,
covering the boats trawlers working in this area, found under water on
small deepening the cabin of the submarine. Right there alarm rockets
and a siren called the sentry boat. At 19:15 MO-103, having come into
hydroacoustic contact with the submarine, made the attack by depth
charges then over water the moving bubbly trace was observed. The
hunter repeated the attack, the U-250 submarine which became the end:
on a water surface there were various objects, and among them six people
who managed to leave the perishing submarine via the rubochny hatch.
Among saved there was a commander of U-250, the navigator, the second
navigator, the junior foreman, the hospital attendant and the sailor.Practically
right after it the decision on raising of U-250 then the group of
specialists of rescue service of the fleet started business was made.
The submarine lay on a rocky shallow, at a depth of thirty three meters.
Ship-raising works were performed at night as the opponent in every
possible way interfered with work of divers, firing at the place of
death of the submarine from the southwest coast of the Vyborg gulf. On
the night of September 1 Germans made one more attempt to destroy the
case of the submarine depth charges, but, having lost the torpedo boat
S-80 on a mine, soon refused this invention. On September 14, 1944 U-250
was lifted and soon towed off to Kronstadt where it was put in DOCK.I send worldwide. The cost of shipment is 99$ Ask the questions! Thanks for interest in my sale.
