Original Soviet WWII flag for the 31st Separate Battalion Anti Tank Rifles.  Silk construction with one side depicting a stylized hammer and sickle with the phrase \"For out Soviet Homeland.\"  Other side with Soviet Red Army Star and 31 Separate Anti Tank Rifles.  The 31st fought with distinction at Stalingrad and was essentially decimated while armed with PTRD-41 antitank rifles, and holding the lines against German Panzer tanks.  Measures 55x42, and is fringed around edges except where a flagpole would slide.  Flag has hand-sewn name of \"KOZLOVA\" in Cyrillic on the inside of where the flag pole would go.Condition overall is near excellent, with bright vivid colors, and only minor staining visible upon close inspection.  Could probably benefit from a professional and careful cleaning.  Soviet WWII flags in general are exceedingly difficult to find, and Soviet battalion flags are pretty much non existent.  This would be an absolutely amazing centerpiece to any advanced collection of Soviet memorabilia.  Authenticity guaranteed, and you have a 3 day inspection period starting when the flag is delivered.  Flag must be returned in exact condition it was sent in.  Insurance is included in the shipping cost within the US.
