9th Lancers tunic blue Melton Cloth trimed with scarlet and gold lace, red piping to sleeve, hooks and eyes to front and shoulder straps. 9th Lancers cross belt and pouch, the shoulder belt Gold lace 2 inch wide no silk strip, red velet lining and edgeing. Gilt breast ornaments with pickers and chains, buckle, tip and slide of regimental pattern. The pouch with solid gilt flap with crown and royal ciphere which is surrounded by decoration and red leather to pouch rear box. 9th lancers foul weather lance cap for an officer of the 9th Lancers. The exterior is a black oil-skin, oiled silk or black patent leather. The front peak has a gilt edging. There is a false black plume boss on the left side of the mortar board top and three false black buttons on each side. Lion\'s head ear bosses suspend the signature 9th Lancers velvet backed corded chin chain. The front peak is lined with green leather. The sweat band leather with \"R Harvey 9th Lancer\" written in ink. Lined in crimson silk with a HAWKES & Co. label. With a gold bullion cap line.
