In 1940, the German military developed topical unfiroms, consisting of pants, tunics, boots, and variousother equipment. The tropical footwear consisted of a both a lace-up tall boot, and lace-up low ankle boot/show. Both were made of a khaki/olive canvas and brown leather. Though similar to the Armt-issue items, the Luftwaffe had their own versions of the tropical equipment, which were developed independently from other banches of service.
Made of tan canvas and light brown leather, this pair of Luftwaffe Tropical Low Ankle Boots is in SUPERB unissued condition! Some slight marks and wear due to the age, but nothing that detracts. They feature the original wartime laces, and all hobnobs are present! Soles are also original. Lots of original size markings and stamps throughout!
The gaiters are original to this set (all items are an attic find from Germany), and appear to be a private purchase (period made). They are made of an almost identical canvas/linen construction, with various manufacture marks and notations.
A TEXTBOOK set, this would make for a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
