WWII US M3 FIGHTING KNIFE~ CAMILLUS ~ BLADE MARKED VERSION ~CLEAN ESTATE ITEMTo my buyers: For years I have done business on using the name: gpstorageco*. The items I will be selling from this point on are being sold from my estate and from the estates of friends and relatives.

This WWII US M3 Camillus Blade Marked Fighting Knife belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. He set aside vintage military items over the years. This blade was part of a combat gear display and was directly purchased from a US Army Vet years ago.

This particular fighting knife was manufactured by Camillus Cutlery Company during WWII and is the blade marked version (see photos). Showing light/average use/wear the blade retains most all (94%) of the original dark finish with some thinning to the blade face area (see photos). The blade appears sharpened long ago and still has a relatively sharp edge now. The blade face is marked, US M3 Camillus to one side just below the cross guard (see photos). The stacked leather washer grip is dark, clean/tight & remains solid/intact with no large losses or cracks (see photos). Crossguard is tight and doesn't wobble and the pommel is stamped with an ordnance bomb (see photos).

The US M8 marked scabbard is clean/solid overall - no edge cracks or excessively worn areas and most of the original olive drab paint remains to the body (see photos). Top fitting at the throat has lightly toned overall (see photos). The web upper has a solid retention strap with a working snap and has had the utility belt hook removed probably to facilitate mounting to a belt - web or otherwise (see photos).

This is a very clean used WWII M3 fighting knife by Camillus. It shows average use/wear, makes an excellent presentation as a combat/field used knife and is guaranteed to be an original period piece as described. Great opportunity for the re-enactor or collector to acquire a wartime used blade marked M3. Really a nice clean piece.
