At the same time, I'll be the first to tell you that I run into more than the occasional student who at 19 has never heard of the Soviet Union and wouldn't recognize a Communist takeover if they waved red banners and held military parades on Bourbon Street.;)

I was riding on a Mardi Gras float with Carrollton a few years back and a nice flask embossed with an OPW I (and containing some unauthorized beverage) disappeared into the framework somewhere. I've often wondered what some worker modifying the float for future years thought of that when they found it.
