I recently acquired the badge shown in this document and have managed to make a rough translation as somethig like "Winner of Socialist Competition". Could anyone please confirm the award, where it was awarded, and the name of the awardee.

Further, does anyone know what competitions these awards were for?

It's a document to a winner of Socialist Competition Winner Badge.
There's a whole series of these. They are not rare and can be found easily.
