I have the same variation that you posted in your initial post, and my first and second class badges have the LMD mint mark on them. I had assumed this made them soviet era awards. Does the LMD mint mark mean that an award is from the soviet era? Do yours have this mint mark? My first and second class do, but my third class does not.
