Here is the People's Republic Of Korea Foundation Commemorative Medal (조선민주주의인민공화국창건기녕메달) Type 1. This Commemorative Medal was founded in 1983 and is constructed of plated aluminium. This first type is considerably smaller than the second type and also has a paper ribbon.

Here is the first variation of the second type. These second type variate in font on the reverse. These second types all have material ribbons.

This particular Commemorative Medal has been in an atmosphere in which the gold plate has come away and the aluminium has begun oxidising.
