Taz,

Do the different colors indicate different classes?

Taz,

Do the different colors indicate different classes?

Marc

Hi Marc,

This effect must be down to the quality of scanning or photo of the first image.
Being a Distinción, there are no different classes of this award.
The system of class starts with the Medals except in a few cases of long service/ for service.

Partly my fault for trying to enhance the poor quality e... photo

Regards Eddie.

Eddie,

Even accounting for a (very!!!) poor quality scan, the medal in the first scan is silver, not gold. Could it be that this medal is given, for example, in silver for, say, 20 years, and in gold for 25 years?

Marc,

"If" it is Silver that would most likely be the case. Here is the paragraph on the award from the Decreto Ley #30. No two classes mentioned.
