charlet Wrote:Hi Mark, the booklet looks correct...the "lenin" stamp a bit small. Serial numbers are correct, very plausible, so does the s/n booklet too.
In fact the lenin has been awarded after the red banner, on a book first isued in 1951. They used other entries left blank.
Description
Comrades, From my personal collection ...Repro of the Soviet Russian ORDER OF GLORY medal, highest Soviet military decoration. Only 20 were awarded. Among the recipients were: Zukov, Rokossovsky, Stalin, Dwight Eisenhower, Bernard Montgomery, Josip Broz Tito. This looks like a handmade repro, probably one of a kind. 4.25 inches from top to bottom. Well made, great display piece if you can't own a real one!

Funny thing:

trnsltn:
"I don't sell to Arabian countries (condition set by Ministry of Interior Affairs!), citizens of those countries are asked not to bid!"

Do you have 11,000 US $ to spare? Would you buy this painting and this story?
"This posthumous oil-on-canvas portrait of Vladimir Lenin, organizor of the Bolsheviks (which later became the Communist Party in USSR, Soviet Russia), was done about 50 years ago. During that time, a painter in Russia still needed special permission to paint Lenin. The portrait hung in a KGB office in Moscow until 1989, when during the dramatic period of social change in Russia called perestroika, a now deceased colonel in the Russian army removed it. More information can be provided to serious buyers. "
Same story, but 12,000 US $
Under the banner of Marxism-Leninism, under the leadership of the Communist Party--forward to new victories in the construction of communism!
I was offered two such canvas paintings (Lenin and Stalin) in Tallinn for 3000 EEK (200 EUR) ... nice paintings, if they hadn't been badly damaged from being rolled up for a long time.
