Offering for auction is an antique silver with Gorgeous red enamel Russian Hat insignia. This is not my area of expertise, so I'll describe it as best I can. Its a star with a man holding a gun with some Russian writings around it. A hammer and sickel under it. The back has a threaded post. It has writings and some numbers hand carved out. Its about 2" wide. Excellent condition.
That must be one HUGE hat to hold such a heavy silver star

Sadly it's been sold as a Russian hat device for years.
I have it as one of my regular searches on eBay. Rusty.

That is one of the rare tombac versions used for about three days in 1941. Silver was needed for a super secret weapon that was so classified that it was never used.:laff

Hurry Up...just 60,00 U$ ! "This is a very rare Medal for the Opening of the First McDonald’s Restaurant in Moscow in 1990, Executive Class. Although this was not an official government medal, its design is of the same style as government awards. It was awarded to members of management (and probably VIPs) in commemoration of the opening of the McDonald’s restaurant in Moscow, which was the first in the Soviet Union. It occurred in 1990, one year before the breakup of the Soviet Union. The medal is made of a light-weight metal, gilt, and red enamel. On the obverse there is a large red enamel McDonald’s arch on a gold background over a large red enameled star. Below the red arch is a small enameled flag of the USSR. A white banner has the gold letters spelling “McDonald’s”. The reverse has a rippled gold surface with a maker’s mark in the center. The suspension is a normal Soviet five-sided suspension with an aluminum plate and a red, white, and yellow (McDonald’s colors) ribbon."
