I think I agree with you. I don't like the H&S of the Kiev. I don't see any obvious problems with the Caucasus. But again, I'm still learning and not an expert on these...

Shouldn't the sickle have a lifted border at its right side edge?

I do not like the details of Kiev, but the ring does not look bad, it raises questions.

Nothing wrong with the Kiev, apart the lack of gilding.

The Caucasus is good, in my opinion, I think you have assessed it already.

Any comment on this Defense of Sevastopol? Personally I like it, but again the faces of the two soldiers do not correspond to those in other sure originals medals.

G'day Gents!!!
I would like your opinion for one of the "Defence of Kiev" medal, the "Mint Error" one.... Are you aware of any copies/fakes of this "Error" medal?
I have this one in my collection, weights 16.16 grams and the diameter of this one is 32.06 mm....
With all the "frosty" surface is very hard to tell if it's a cast made medal... but the details are very good to be cast....
Any idea/opinion would be very appreciated!!!
Thank you very much for your time!!
Yannis

From these pictures, it doesn't look like the "original" mint error.
