Thanks for the info already provided. That was quick!
I'll post detailed photos when they arrive, but as Tommy points out, the Ushakov is imperfect - I wouldn't expect that unevenness from an original.
The Nakhimov anchor marks could be wear and tear, but perhaps the way the serial numbers are impressed might help decide that when I get to see them.
I agree there is no substitute for seeing and touching the items 'in the flesh', but that can't always be possible. If they prove to be incorrect, I have no doubt I can obtain a refund. These are not shady operators.

FYI - return and refund arranged.
Attached are pics of the Nakhimov. I'd be interested to know what it is exactly which gives the game away. (Other than weighing it or counting the dots!)
The look and feel seem ok. The ring attachment looks too smooth compared to the Mondvor examples, and not soldered on. Anything else?
I'm not a major collector - these were speculative bids. I did at one time have all the campaign/victory/capture sets, plus a dozen or so specialist badges.
Out of all the buying and selling, I kept three order groups with documents . The most fascinating thing about two of them is not the medals - to me at least - but the photos showing young men age over the years.
It's all my history teacher's fault - he taught us Russian history from Ivan the Terrible through to Khruschev, and most of that wasn't even on the syllabus!

It's a fake. One of the red flags is that the serial number in this range should be hand engraved, not stamped.
