Fake Submariner Badges
#21
Ni Hao,

The badges shown in the third picture are notorious copies.
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

The Who, Won't get fooled again

Only first badge is probably original, but I'm not sure.

Hola amigo!

Nice homemade badge! Definitely post-WW2. You can tell by the nuclear powered look to the sub design.

That would be my guess. Perhaps "theater-made" is a better description? :)

I don't really think so. It might not even be actually Soviet.

Ruiz,

That is definitely not an official issue; at best, it is a home-made copy.

So what should we look for on the reverse of a submarine badge, to tell if it's fake or genuine?

Agree with Lapa, such a badge had never existed in Soviet Navy.

Hello everyone, I just received this submarine badge and was wondering if it looked like a genuine badge?
Thanks
