The Russian government has been good enough to digitalise a great deal of period military documents. This is the Combat Journal of the 20th Guards Rifle Regiment for the period of combat that saw Soso earn his Medal.

With the great flood of research of awards, people, units and operations now available it is a bit obvious how I've succumbed to an overwhelming backlog.
