Forum Scavenger Hunt Contest

This contest is open to all forum members except moderators. The contest will run for two weeks, beginning February 22, 2009 and will end March 8, 2009.

The contest will consist of 14 questions, one question posted per day. All the answers will be given at the end of the contest. The question will require the contestant to search the forum for the answer to the question asked. All answers are found in the forum. There will be a few clues given for each question. The individual who correctly answers the most questions will be the winner of the grand prize, a medal for the Liberation of Prague, and a medal for Victory over Germany, awarded to Senior Sergeant Mikhail Dmitrievich Doka, by the 97th Guards Self-Propelled Artillery Battalion. A very nice set. This group was purchased from Brendan at war in pieces (ANZAC here on the forum). Please see attached pics. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker question will be asked. If there still remains a tie, winner will be determined by random drawing of the tie-"ees".

Brendan has generously donated two Bravery Medals as runner-up prizes. At the end of the contest, all those who have answered at least 5 of the 14 questions correctly will participate in a random drawing where two contestants will each win one of the medals. If you have any questions, please ask. Good Luck to everyone.

WARNING: Brendan and I had some fun "designing" these questions. Each question points you to a different section of the forum. That is all Big Grin

I forgot to mention that Brendan and I will also take care of shipping to wherever you're located on this Earth.

Forgot to mention this as it is rather important Smile

To participate, I will post one question each day for two weeks. Contestants will email me with their answer. you can email me at [email protected] please avoid sending them to me via PM. I prefer to be emailed rather than PM'd for this as it will be much easier for me to keep the scores organized with email. You can get into the contest whenever you want, so you won't have to sit around waiting for me to post the questions everyday. You can email me your answers up until March 8, (U.S. March 8th for those on the other side of the date line)

The questions all have specific answers, so no clarification should be necessary. The answers along with the URL to the post that the question/answer was pulled from will be posted here at the end of the contest.

Good Luck!

Great initiative! :thumbsup

I take it we can just e-mail all the answers at the end all at once?

Yes, that would probably be the best for everyone..that way you can look over all your answers until the last moment and when you are satisfied, send them to my email in one message. Also that way would be better for me so I can keep contestant submissions organized.
