Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

As the Chief of the Military Devices Workshop Comrade Leshchinskii has displayed himself a bold, active, tireless officer dedicated to the Motherland. As section leader, Comrade Leshchinskii has devoted much effort to enabling the high-quality repair of optical devices, attaining 100% restoration of repaired devices. As the section’s senior organizer he imbued high-quality optical specialist personnel, imparting to them all their knowledge, as well as his personal work experience. Under his personal leadership and participation the section has repaired the most complex optical devices as teodolyte(?), panoramic viewers, stereo tubes, etc., thus effectively contributing to the fight by maximally restoring combat losses to working order. During the heavy fighting for the Vistula and retaining the bridgehead when the division suffered heavy losses in supply parts and did not have the opportunity for resupply from rear area bases, the section conducted major repairs of 18 panoramic viewers and 23 stereo tubes, in addition to other devices.

As a welding specialist Comrade Leshchinskii has repeatedly accomplished urgent, serious undertakings in the repair of artillery supply parts, often visiting and conducting repairs on site in the units.

For the provision of high-quality repair of optical devices and his personal example which permitted high results in repairing said devices, as well as supporting the success of our forces in crushing the enemy, Comrade Leshchinskii is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
