[SIZE="3"]Award Card dated May 8th, 1997 (Victory Day), Kalynivka, Vinnyts'ka oblast, Ukraine, as Squad Leader 828th Infantry Regiment, an unnumbered Order of the Red Star by the 197th Infantry Division, signed by Colonel E. Chernelevsky of the Regional Military Commissariat.

I do not think Sergeant Grosh received his Order of the Red Star, and may have been deceased at the time this Order Book was given to his family.

The 40 soldiers were killed actually ("left behind on the battlefield" by the enemy, as it's euphemistically called).

Nice to see items reunite.

The 1955 Medal "For Combat Merits" is certainly a long service award.
