Here is a fairly late example. The Medal was awarded for 3 years service in the 1945-50 period (or any period of service if wounded out of service). The People's Liberation army numbered more than 4 million and there were also over 250,000 casualties in the last year of hostilities of the "War Of Liberation" so these are out there in large numbers.
