Matching Hat for Ukrainian Uniform

IMHO, the cap is Ukrainian production.
The tunic is a transitional tunic made from a Soviet tunic.
I am unsure about the summer coat.

The "transitional" factor probably explains why I can't find any pictures of this uniform on the web after countless hours searching:rolleyes:

Thanks for the valuable insight ... I'm thinking now that a Soviet utility/duty visor cap with the Ukrainian cockade would be the best match (and was the most likely way it was done 1992ish). The tunic color is an exact match to a Soviet utility/duty visor cap.

Unless any other opinions pop up (maybe somebody from Kiev?) I think I'll consider this solved ... Thanks:thumbsup

Ideally, the Soviet cap should also have the soviet buttons replaced with the trident buttons as in the case with the tunic, in addition to the replacement of the cockade.

FYI:
The Ukrainian cap you currently have is an honor guard cap and probably also an officer parade cap for Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs (Post-Soviet MVD). It is worn with later 4 pocket tunics like the ones the Russians changed to in 1994.

I have a cap laing around witch is just the same as yours.

it hase the exact same collor band as soviet mvd maroon(rust brown) band.

The only differance is that the crown has a some what more greenish look than the parade crown of a russian cap.
