Medal "For Excellent Labour During Danger".
#1
Unfortunately, the true identity of this medal is elusive. It has wound up being called the "Khalq Medal" because of the proiminent "Khalq" (= "Masses") on the obverse. Compare this with the first variety of the Order of the Saur Revolution.

I have never been able to get a better identification. Help?

The Khalq was a faction of the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan. The other faction was Parcham (= "Flag"). From April 1978 until December 1979 (the Soviet arrival in country) they dominated the government.

Dear!

I think, the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan "Khalq Medal" can be said to be the order of the saur Revolution predecessor. That is to say before the formal establishment in the order of the April revolution, the medal in the act in their duties.

Here is the Medal "For Excellent Labour During An Accident" د ډيرښه کار په خطار

This has been given all sorts of false attributions over the years but it is for distinction during emergency and rescue situations. Founded in 1986 I believe. The majority of those observed are unissued stock.
