Melkonjan, Aleksej Makarovich, Tailor/Partisan, 22nd Guards Tank Brigade
#1
Here is a pair of Medals "For Combat Merits" to Guards Senior Sergeant Aleksej Makarovich Melkonjan. This pair of Medals seems to be his "complete" set even though he was not only wounded but a partisan, a commander of a submachinegun unit and a tailor. Most likely Melkonjan's time as a tailor was brought on due to injury and his humble group the consequence of Stalin's dislike and distrust of Soviets who had been behind enemy lines unless he was also a tailor in a partisan unit?
