"Military Specialities"

[Tommy]

Hi guys,

Reading through some service records I've noticed the phrase "Military Speciality" followed by a number.

Does anyone know of a list of these numbers and what they stood for?

Thanks!

Tom

Tommy,
attached is a list of "Voenno-Uchetnaya Spetzialnost" (Mil.Specialty) from Russian Wikipedia- hope it helps.

I don't think these are WW2-era numbers, but it's an interesting list nevertheless, thanks.

This are not WW2 specialities, but the doc gives this link in the end for ww2 ones:
Справочник военно-учетных специальностей

Excellent thank you!
