Nuclear submarines?

[lewstherin]

Hi folks!

this is my first post in this forum.

I've seen this badge on sale as something like "Nuclear submarines awarded with the Order of Lenin". I've been searching for any documentation about it but ?'ve not found anything.

Is it real? The dimension is 47mm long, but I don't have any picture of the rear.

Lewstherin,

Welcome to the Forum!

Well, this badge has nothing to do with submarines, regardless of their engine-room type ;) It is a badge for the cleanup of the latest incident of the Chernobyl nuclear plant. It is a genuine badge.

[Nota Bene]

I might add that this particular badge was issued to servicemen of the Leningrad Military Region.
