The Order "Mother Heroine" (Ordinul "Mamă Eroină") was founded by Decree 195 of 8th November 1951. Copying the Soviet award. Awarded for 10 children.
The Order was originally gold and silver but soon was replaced by a cheaper alloy. The Type 3 came about with the change in name from RPR to RSR.
This is a late, poor quality example Type 3.
