1919 Polish Artillery badge ID help
#11
The main reason for their rarity is the fact, that they were officially used only untill 1939 (and some of them in small quantities in the West during the war and by veterans after the war) and every regiment had it's own, so not too many of them were made. Also, many soldiers were buried with those badges. In addition in some units only officers were allowed to wear those.

The main reason for this badge to be a copy seems to be the fact that it has a screwplate o A. Panasiuk's engarver workshop. And if I remember correctly, Andrzej Panasiuk found his workshop in early 70's.

But there's always the possibility tht this screwplate was added later.
The experts say that the screwpost may be a key to tetermining it's originality.

I am no expert, as pre-war polish items are ussually far beyond my financial capabilities.
