Nice award! My guess is he served in an artillery battalion, not division (the Russian word was probably divizion, not divizia).

In that case division doesn't mean divisiya
Red Army artillery units are following:
fire platoon, battery, division, artillery regiment, artillery brigade and artillery division.

Thanks Auke and Azad. I really am happy with this small but pertinant grouping! I have not seen too many political officer groupings.

Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
He has proven himself a bold, brave, and motivated in his daily work while fighting the German-fascist invaders. During mountain(?) fighting Comrade Abkaryan always positioned himself among the fighters and motivated them with his Bolshevist words to the excellent accomplishment of their combat missions. On 8.7.43 the enemy conducted a massive fire attack upon the battalion’s firing positions and our personnel and equipment were threatened with destruction, however Comrade Abkaryan boldly made the correct decision and moved the battalion through ravines to a safe location.
During offensive fighting beginning 24.12.43 Senior Lieutenant Abkoryan again conducted his work among the soldiers and commanders, concentrating them on the final destruction of the German-fascist invaders. Due to Abkaryan’s contributions the battalion’s personnel are always supplied in a timely manner with foodstuffs and in combat receive the necessary items to always accomplish their combat missions. He is dedicated to the Lenin-Stalin Party and the Socialist Motherland. Senior Lieutenant Abkaryan (?) through his glorious combat work is deserving of the Order of the Patriotic War II Class.
