Yes, probably. Here's his Ukaz. I believe all awards from this decree were for Khalkhin Gol.

Quote:On awarding Soviet orders and medals to officers, non-commissioned officers, and enlisted men of the Red Army and the Border Guards, family members of officers and non-commissioned officers, and hospital personnel.

For the exemplary accomplishment of combat missions and the valor and bravery displayed in the process, the following are to be decorated:

With the Medal for Courage:

[...]

6226. Private Vladimir Sidorovich Pokusov

[...]

Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR
M. Kalinin

Secretary of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR
A. Gorkin

As there has been a renewal of interest in the group (or is it just Auke and myself?), I thought I might post some of the paperwork from this well-documented group.

First, his jubilee OPW2 document.

And the benefits booklet for his Red Star. I gather most of these were discarded as useless after the benefits were stopped?

Unless someone wants to see them, I don't see much reason to post the medal award certificates. Pretty familiar suff.

However, the group includes a stack of "action certificates", some of them interesting (I think). I have posted the Belgrade ones above. Here are some others.

Citation for Breaking the Enemy Defenses on the West Bank of the River Duna.
