Comrade Khrapalin has been on the front of the Patriotic War since August 1942.  He has been wounded three times.  He participated in offensive fighting on the Vistula and Oder rivers.  While in the Corps Observation Post Comrade Khrapalin accurately observed the enemy.

In fighting for Berlin Comrade Khrapalin was the first to rush into a building defended by Germans and motivated our soldiers to follow him.  In this engagement he killed eight Hitlerites with grenades and his submachinegun and took 12 prisoners.
